She earned a BA in Economics from Ethiraj College, along with an MSc in Psychology and an LLB, which together provide her with both analytical insight and a deep understanding of human behavior and legal frameworks.
Her strong academic foundation, combined with entrepreneurial acumen, has shaped Shighra Group into a purpose-driven enterprise spanning real estate, agriculture, exports, and community development. Akila's leadership is marked by strategic foresight, empathy, and a commitment to inclusive progress.

Giritharan Vasudevan
Director
Giritharan Vasudevan brings a unique blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and discipline to Shighra Group. He holds a degree in Defence and Strategic Studies, as well as an MBA in Human Resource Management, which equip him with expertise in organizational strategy and people development.
His background in national security studies enhances his analytical approach, while his HR training strengthens team dynamics and operational efficiency. A black belt from CorePower Kungfu Academy, Giritharan exemplifies perseverance and personal growth.
